LOCALS would have been forgiven for thinking they had travelled back in time when 35 vintage caravans towed by classic vehicles from the 1950s and 60s wound their way along Sea Cliff Bridge and into Coledale on Friday.
An informal group of vintage caravan enthusiasts enjoyed their visit to Coledale so much this time last year they have decided to make the weekend an annual pilgrimage.
The group coordinates trips all over Australia on their website (www.vintagecaravans.com) spokesperson Lynelle Titcume from Bulli said.
"This is our second get together at Coledale on the east side of Australia," Mrs Titcume said.
"Last year we had 15 caravans visit Coledale, this year we had about 30 vintage caravans, including visitors from Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland as well as many from NSW.
"Most of these are towed by classic vehicles. It was a fantastic classic weekend."
