Trauma Centre – New Blood

Section: Game Reviews
Pretty much the same concept as the previous Trauma Centre games but this time in a new city and a new nurse with the big change/improvement of being able to play coop with another player.
For those who haven’t played before basically you play doctors and nurses (Dr Markus Vaughn and Dr Valerie Blaylock) and using your memory and skill to select the appropriate surgical instrument needed for different parts of a variety of operations.
The first few operations show you the ropes and describe what tools to select and how to use them but from there you are on your own, unless you are playing two players in which case you can rely on each other, one of you could be doing the draining while the other is removing the tumor etc.
The ultrasound, scalpel, syringe, needle and thread, draining tool, tweezers and antiseptic are selected using the Nunchuk and then the Remote acts as the implement selected, you even have to use them both as paddles to get a patients heart restarted.
Playing with another person revitalizes the game bringing back memories of the board game Operation; the remote even vibrates when you miss and the guilt of letting patient’s vitals drop, bringing imminent death, can then be shared.
