THIRROUL Bowling, Leagues and Recreation Club competed strongly in this year's Illawarra Zone 16 pennant competition, fielding four teams.
They were successful in winning the No. 6 pennant flag, downing Albion Park in the final at Bulli.
The 12-man team and reserves are now in training for the state titles that are scheduled for August 5-7 - featuring the other 15 NSW Zone winners.
By a stroke of good luck, these matches will be played at the Thirroul and Bulli clubs.
