CRONULLA’S Nathan Smith again took out the open ironman in round two of the Sydney Water Surf Club Premiership series on Sunday at Warilla beach.

Smith was followed by clubmate Chris Allum in second place and Hayden Allum from Wanda in third place.

Chris Allum also won the open men’s surf race, with North Wollongong’s Shane Barrie gaining second place and Warilla’s Hayden White in third place. Hayden Allum won the open men’s board, followed by Hayden White in second place and Chris Allum in third.

Thirroul’s Ashley Russel had a successful day, winning both the open women’s iron women and the open women’s ski, followed closely in both events by Warilla’s 17-year-old Lauren Smith. Cara Mura from Wollongong City won the open women’s surf race, followed by Maddison Prior (Warilla) and Elyse Yardley (North Wollongong).

Damien Cook from Helensburgh-Stanwell Park had another convincing win this week in the open men’s beach flags and open men’s sprint.

Bulli’s Cara Langendam won both the open women’s beach flags and sprint. Warilla’s Jordan White won the under 17 iron women, while Michael Booth claimed the men’s ironman.
