IT was a real arm wrestle at a wet and heavy Gibson Park on Saturday between top of the table teams Dapto and Thirroul before the Canaries took the two points and clinched the minor premiership with a tough 12 10 victory.
The Corrimal Cougars improved but were still beaten 30 18 by Wests and remain on the bottom with one round to go. The five play-off teams have been decided.
In Tooheys New Cup, leaders Bulli secured the minor premiership with a 32 6 win over Avondale, but second placed Norths went down 14 6 to Mt Kembla.
