Woonona Bulli RSL Youth Club cheerleaders celebrate their win.
WOONONA Bulli RSL Youth Club cheerleaders have reason to put their skills into action after bringing home a top prize in a Sydney competition. Woonona Spirit (pictured), consisting of 13 girls and one boy, won honours in the competition for their pom and stunting routines.
Combining dance, gymnastics and acrobatics, the team are now in full training for the National Cheerleading Championships to be held at Homebush, head coach Emma Holder said.
"The team has been together for six months and during that time they have been working so hard so it was wonderful to see them do so well, " she said.
The team consisted of Kate Maslowski, Renae Chapman, Ainsley Clark, Morgan Clark, Maddie Brookes, Lula Dawson, Sahah Healy, Olivia JorgensonPartis, Samantha Eardley, Bridget Maher, Niki Coby, Tahlia Simpson, Brooke Farrow and Blake Farrow.
