tford beat Meadow in tennis finals
THE Bulli and Districts Thursday women's competition tennis grand finals were recently completed at the Bulli Tennis Centre with the minor premiers in all three grades coming out on top with dominant displays.
In division 1, Gibson Park Railway downed Meadow Friends, division 2 saw Otford beat Meadow Gold, and in division 3, Meadow Robins defeated club - mates Meadow Movers.
Members of the winning teams were:
Division 1: Marianne Bleakley, Karen Christensen, Joy Duroux, Kay Gordon, Min Johnston, Peggy Johnston.
Division 2: Wendy Doran, Janelle Faust, Liz Hurley, Tracy Murray, Pauline Smith, Kylie Ward.
Division 3: Carol Cleaver, Dianne Davies, Barbara Hogan, Kath Jones, Linda Machin, Jan Wonson.
The Presentation was held at the completion of the grand finals and a vote of thanks to the Illawarra Credit Union for the donation towards the trophies.
Many ladies turned up for the Christmas Fun Day which was a complete success with tennis, luncheon and friendship.
The Association is still looking for ladies to play in the 2007 competition which starts February 8, with no play through any school holidays.
