SHAMROCKS took another step towards the Illawarra Rugby club championship with impressive performances against Camden at Ocean Park on Saturday.
The 'Rocks first grade are the team to beat for this year's minor premiership with another impressive display, taking their match 32-13.
Shamrocks asserted their dominance in the final 20 minutes, piling on three tries to put the game out of Camden's reach.
The front row of Mark Stone, Josh Woodford, and Matt Jeffries were outstanding while the return of Daniel Porra and Michael Tyrpenou stiffened up the side at the breakdown and in the backline.
First grade's unbeaten run is not the only talking point these days.
Second grade (winners over Camden 44-nil) are clear leaders in their competition while third grade (winners over Camden 48-5) are in second.
The club is a the leader in the club championship and with six rounds remaining it will be a hard task for any other club to take it from them.
It all starts again on Saturday when Shamrocks host Shoalhaven at Ocean Park, Woonona. First grade kick-off is at 3pm.
