The 23rd Annual Illawarra Police Charity Ball will be held on Friday, July 25.

The ball has gained a huge following over the course of more than two decades, while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities.

This year the Police Ball is supporting Haematology/Leukaemia Research at Wollongong Hospital and NSW Police Legacy.

The event will be hosted by Assistant Commissioner Robert May and many police from the Southern Region will be in attendance.

The night’s special guest will be the NSW Police Commissioner and his wife.

The two Deputy Commissioners will also be attending with their partners.

Tickets to the ball are priced at $85 and include a three-course meal, drinks and entertainment by the New South Wales Police Band and Duck and Cover.

There will also be a lucky door prize, raffles and an auction on the night.

Tickets can be purchased from the Southern Region Office located at Market Street, Wollongong or by phoning Anne-Marie on 4226 7734.

The ball will be held at the Grand Hall at the University of Wollongong, Northfields Avenue, Gwynneville at 7.30pm on July 25 and the dress code is black tie/evening wear.
