Yes it is another Pokemon game to add to the seemingly never-ending Nintendo franchise, where the creatures communicate by saying their own name in different tones and one of them sounds like someone sneezed (Pikachu).
If you are in the minority of the human race that has never played a Pokemon game on the DS before, it is basically a role-playing game where you wander around Planet Pokemon using the stylus pen meeting up with rivals and friends from all over the Poke world, when you battle the combat is essentially turn based and apart from fighting other Pokemon you also Battle those dim wits from Team Galactica over and over again, you can even trade Pokemon and battle your friends that have the game over the DS Wi-Fi connection.
For the rest of you that probably own at least one, what is new in this one? Well there are new enemies, new Pokemon and improved graphics and there is now the option to be a Pokemon breeder if you wish.
The look of each Pokemon differs depending on where they are found and you can even make poffin out of berries to beautify your Pokemon to look their best for contests.
There are mini games and you can go underground and dig up items. There are still legendary Pokemon with a brand new way of finding them including a new one that makes you travel to a new world once you find it where you walk up side down and on the side of walls.
It is more complex than the other games and overall it is an enjoyable experience especially if you are a Pokemon fan, sending you into a world full of fluffy, cute animal like creatures. Gotta catch them all, but even when you do they will invent new ones.
