WOLLONGONG Olympic Junior Soccer Club has built a mini-dynasty – its under 9s team just completed its third straight undefeated season.

Over the past three seasons the team has played 46 games, scoring a phenomenal 261 goals with only 26 against.

All players have had a turn in goals and most have scored during Olympics’ incredible run.

Coach Darren O’Brien, who has guided the team throughout its extraordinary history, focuses on improving each player’s skill level and getting the best out of the team.

Each player is rotated to find their playing strength and O’Brien emphasises acknowledging each other for great tackles, saves and the last pass to a goal scorer.

This year’s 11-player team had five new faces.

Four players – Bailey O'Brien, Oliver Hirst, Jack Paterson and Aiden Charker – have been with the team for all three seasons.

Those four players go to Keiraville Public School together. Other team members include boys and girls from other schools in the local area.
