THE annual Coalcliff to Stanwell Park Ocean Challenge Swim was held on Sunday after being postponed from the previous weekend due to mountainous seas.
This time conditions were perfect and the 211 competitors of both sexes and of all ages took off on the 2.4km journey around the picturesque cliffs.
Adam Kable from Sydney's Georges Hall won the event in the time of 26m 50secs, 40 metres in front of female Luane Rowe who produced a top swim.
Mitchell Fagerstorm took third spot - with all three visitors contesting the 14 19 years age group.
The first local to hit the beach in 13th place was Matt Criley from the Bulli Surf Club, while David Whiteside and Sue Bell from the Helensburgh/Stanwell Park club finished 16th and 35th respectively.
