WELL it's here already. Christmas jingles are echoing through the shopping malls, northern suburbs homes are flashing with colourful lights of all descriptions, and we are madly running around buying last minute gifts.

Can you remember saying, it will be Christmas before you know it'?

The festive season has crept up on us yet again.

But let's look at the real meaning of Christmas a day for sharing and caring. It's a time for Christians to remember the birth of Jesus and a time for spending quality time with friends, family and loved ones.

No matter what your beliefs, Christmas has a profound affect on us all. It means so many different things to so many people.

Whether you are enjoying the sands and crashing surf of Austinmer Beach, having a picnic in the Royal National Park, celebrating the birth of Christ at St Josephs Bulli, or simply having a backyard barbecue with family and friends at Bellambi, Christmas is indeed a special day.

Please remember to take it easy on the roads over the festive season and do not mix alcohol and driving.

Have a wonderful Christmas.
