THE POPULAR Northern Soccer Cup is now in its 17th year. The cup consists of 12 teams, with three Southern teams (Gerringong, Kiama, Batemans Bay) and nine northern teams (Coledale, Thirroul, Sandon Point, Bulli, Woonona, Bellambi, Russell Vale, Corrimal and Fernhill 35’s).
Teams are drawn from the Leisure Coast Soccer Association, the Amateur Soccer Association and Illawarra first division.
All games will be 15 minutes each way with teams playing two games each. There are four groups of three teams – winners of each group advance to the semi-finals.
The event kicks off on Saturday, October 27 at Memorial Park, Corrimal. The first game will kick off at 9am with Fernhill taking on Woonona before the final at 5pm.
Kiama currently hold the Northern Cup after a 5-nil win over Coledale.
Raffles on the day to raise money for the Bulli District Hospital.
