Ben Allen in action at the weekends East Coast Championships and Warriors on Water
ANOTHER great result for Bulli Ironman Ben Allen, who finished 3rd in the Open men's swim at the weekends Warriors on Water Surf Life Saving Competition at Kurrawa Beach on the Gold Coast.
Adopting the fierce state versus state, mate versus mate format, the 2007 East Coast Championships Warriors on Water saw surf sports action at its best, with the ultimate state grudge played out in the water and on the sand.
With the Queensland athletes outnumbering there better performing NSW counterparts they were able to secure the win on their home turf.
Allen used the windy conditions and trying 3 to 4 foot waves as a chance to fine tune ahead of upcoming Branch, State and Aussie Titles.
I was happy with my race, they were very difficult conditions and it was a good preparation,' said Ben
Carrying good form into coming events we are certain to see plenty more of Ben on these pages in coming months.
