BULLI Show Society President John Andrews has promised bigger rides, better entertainment, beefed-up utes and plenty of magic for this year's Bulli Show in September.

Mr Andrews said the show is an important event for local families, and a chance for city kids to experience things like blacksmithing, cow milking, and sheep shearing.

"The kids here are so close to the city they don't get to see this kind of thing," he said.

For those who like the modern thrill of a good show ride Mr Andrews said this year would see the introduction of a spinning 80 foot tall ride called Top Gun, as well as all the tried and tested crowd pleaser like dodgem cars.

The show will take place over the weekend of September 15 and 16, reaching its apex on Saturday night with The Village Building Company Concert Spectacular featuring Celtic band The Borderers, fireworks and the naming of showgirl winners.
