Ryan Marmont is confident of a good showing following his return from injury.
Debuting their 2008 racing team, Motorex KTM has shown domination on the race track at the Brisbane Supercross Masters last Saturday night, giving team riders confidence in their bikes and ability for the new year’s racing calendar.
In his first Pro Open supercross race Wollongong rider Ryan Marmont placed second on the KTM 450 SXF.
Holding the crown as reigning Pro Lites Australian Supercross Champion, Ryan Marmont is now progressing in his racing to take on our countries best in the Pro Open class.
Commenting on his opening night, Ryan Marmont said he didn’t know what to expect in his first 20 lap final saying he paced himself pretty well.
“The competition was out to show me I’m now racing with the big guns, and there was a bit of push and shove going on but I still held my own and gave it back where I could,” he said.
“I was battling with Troy Carroll for the lead until he block passed me and pulled away.
“I was still happy to come home in second for my first Pro Open supercross race. Not all the top competitors for 2008 raced, but New Zealand’s lead rider Daryl Hurley was there and I beat him which gives me some good confidence for next year.”
Next on the race calendar is the New Zealand Motocross next month.
