Jack Wilson, Jordan Hamilton and John Bowker prepare to let their creativity run wild for the filmmaking workshop at Bulli PCYC.

ACTION, comedy, drama, suspense, soap opera there is no telling what you will find at Bulli PCYC during the school holidays.

The venue will become a makeshift movie studio on October 4 and 5, with kids invited to take part in a special filmmaking workshop run by the Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre.

Participants will have the chance to create a movie and experience all aspects of filmmaking, including photography, scriptwriting and acting.

"It will be a great opportunity for the kids to express themselves," senior youth worker John Bowker said.

Mr Bowker said some of the local kids had already begun brainstorming ideas for their screen debut.

"There's been some talk of a mystery story involving the American President," he said.

"We'll just have to wait and see what happens."

The filmmaking workshop will run from 9am to 1pm over the two days and is open to children from 8 to 12 years of age.

The PCYC will also host a drop-in day with loads of entertainment for kids on October 12.

To take part in either event or for more information, contact Bulli PCYC on 4284 3878 or Thirroul Neighbourhood Centre on 4267 2933.
