A HALF-CENTURY by Chris Jarman has put Warilla in control of their South Coast Junior Cricket 16A match against Kiama.
Jarman scored 61, NSW under 17s rep Nic Maddison 23 and Adam Zampa 30 as the Kookas amassed 170.
Dalton Sinclair was the pic of the Kiama bowlers with 3/26 while Ethan McIntosh (2/37) and Jason Bond (2/14) also toiled hard for Kiama, who will resume at 0/1.
Meanwhile, Kiama have already surrendered first innings points to Port Kembla in the 16B match.
The Cavs will resume on Saturday at 0/10 in their second innings, needing 34 runs to make Port bat again.
On Saturday Kiama were bundled out for 35 before Port declared at 9/79 for a 44-run first innings lead.
Meanwhile, Shellharbour will resume on Saturday needing 73 runs with seven wickets in hand in their 14A clash against Balgownie.
Batting first the Magpies scored 109 before Shellharbour reached 3/36 at stumps.
Kiama hold the upper hand in their clash with Warilla after reaching 9/153 at stumps.
Albion Park amassed 198 in their clash with Keira to complete the round.
In the 14Bs, Zac Hilton’s 103 was the highlight of day one of Oak Flats clash with Albion Park Gold.
The Rats scored 180 while the Eagles will resume at 2/113 in reply.
In other 14B matches, the Kiama-Gerringong clash is delicately poised with Gerringong needing 64 runs with seven wickets in hand for first innings points when play resumes.
Shellharbour White need 36 runs with four wickets in hand to topple Warilla while Albion Park Green amassed 7/276 against Shellharbour Blue.
In the 12As, Shellharbour Blue scored a ten-run win over Kiama while Shellharbour White defeated Albion Park. In the 12Bs, Lake Illawarra scored a 34-run win over Albion Park and Jamberoo outlasted Oak Flats by 13 runs.
In the 10As, Oak Flats scored a 41-run win over Gerringong while Albion Park were too good for Warilla.
