WARILLA Sports are in a strong position heading into day two of their match with Corrimal in South Coast/Illawarra junior cricket on Saturday.
The Kookas are on 1/97 in reply to Corrimal’s first innings tally of 52 thanks to 53 from Southern Zone representative Chris Jarman.
Meanwhile, Wests (5/15) are on the rack in their match with Helensburgh (70) while Shellharbour (3/65) need 29 runs for first innings points against Kiama (94).
In the 16Bs, Kiama (7/23) need a massive rear-guard action to score first innings victory against Keira (102).
Wests Blue (4/136) hold a big first-innings lead over Warilla Sports (49) while Oak Flats (3/19) need 103 runs with seven wickets in hand to defeat Port Kembla (8/122).
Wests Red (4/72) has already secured first innings points against Shellharbour (52).
In the under 14As, the match between Shellharbour (0/31) and Wests (97) is delicately poised, while Albion Park (5/203 dec.) are on top against Warilla (1/9).
It was a day for individual milestones for Oak Flats’ under 14Bs, with Zac Hilton (110 not out) and J. Hawkins (5/14, including a hat-trick) putting their side (7/217) on top against Warilla (7/41).
In other matches, Albion Park Green (6/243 dec.) are well on top against Kiama (6/16), while Albion Park Gold (1/58) are in control of their clash with Jamberoo (91).
Shellharbour City White (6/88) have already claimed first0-innings points in their clash with Shellharbour City Blue (82).
In the under 12As, Shellharbour City Blue scored a six-wicket win over Albion Park while Shellharbour City White thumped The Rail.
In the 12Bs, Jamberoo (2/102) scored a big win over Kiama (9/30), Gerringong (3/81) defeated Albion Park Green (7/80), Albion Park Gold (1/85) were too good for Shellharbour City White (7/83) and Oak Flats (4/134) defeated Lake Illawarra (7/89).
In the 10As, Kiama defeated Warilla, Albion Park beat Oak Flats, Shellharbour White were too good for Gerringong and Shellharbour Blue defeated Shellharbour Silver.
