Jackson takes Tobin Family Award

Illawarra Academy of Sport presentation night was held at the Wollongong University last Friday night.
Balgownie cyclist, Jackson Law was rewarded for an outstanding year of achievements, both on the track and on the road, by taking out the major award, the Tobin Family Award.
Law received a $5,000 scholarship from the Illawarra Mercury, which will assist him as he has now been selected into the Australian Junior team to compete at the World championships in Italy in August.
Other award winners on the night were cricket, Jordan Matthews; cycling, Tirian McManus; golf, Tahnia Ravnjak; netball, Alyse Holmes; Individual Athlete Program, Bernadette Cardillo; rugby union, Ben Robinson; swim sports, Emma McKeon; hockey, Flynn Ogilvie and tennis, Laura Kent.
