The forecourt of the Thirroul Library will become an entertainment hub at the Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival from March 26-28.
Festival coordinator Alexie Bull said the extra entertainment space would extend the breadth of the event, benefiting shop keepers and restaurant owners in the town’s southern reaches.
“Combined with Art in the Shops, there’s a reason to walk from one end of town to the other,” she said.
In its 20th year, the festival showcases local talent in a unique celebration of visual and performing arts, with a selected art exhibition at Anita’s Theatre.
Sat-Art-Day features markets in Thirroul’s main shopping precinct and at the Community Centre while a talent quest will be held outside Beaches Hotel.
Crafty Kids, featuring card making, beading and sand art, will keep the little ones entertained at WF Jackson Park on Saturday and at Thirroul Beach Park on Sunday for a $2 donation.
Author Nora Jenkins will read for the under-5s on Saturday.
Entertainment moves to the beach on Sunday.
