WITH the opening of their new state-of-the-art gymnastics centre, South Coast Gymnastics has signalled their intention to firmly establish themselves as a centre of excellence for gymnastics on the South Coast.

In an exciting development for the South Coast's emerging gymnastic talents, the new centre boasts a coaching staff with a wealth of experience and knowledge.

With coaches from the USA, Poland and Australia, men's coordinator Liz Medway says the academy's coaches are eager to spread their knowledge and passion for gymnastics to all levels.

"We have fantastic programs for everyone, from the elite to the beginner or recreational gymnast," said Liz.

This is reinforced by the gym's motto of Opportunities for Everybody' with the new centre aiming to promote personal growth for all - from the athletes to the staff.

New head women's coach Henryk Czubala has embraced the Gym's motto and hopes the gym will soon be recognised as one of the best in NSW, and eventually Australia.

"I am excited about the new challenge and working with my old teaching friend Liz and the rest of the South Coast Gymnastics staff to help develop the local talent," said Henryk.

As a high level athlete with an illustrious gymnastics and coaching career, Henryk brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the South Coast Gymnastics academy.

Having previously worked as the Polish Olympic Team Manager, Henryk has also spent many years teaching at the University of NSW and Pymble Ladies College.

A highly regarded gymnastics professional, Henryk also recognises the science behind the movements and has a Masters Degree in Physical Education.

Men's coordinator Liz Medway also has a rich background, enjoying positions as both a Junior Development Coach for the NSW High Performance Centre and a Coach for the NSW State development program.

"We are catering for everyone from 18 months old to seniors, including men and women. We provide a fun and healthy sporting alternative in a safe controlled environment," said Liz.

Liz encourages anyone interested to contact the gym to find out more about their extensive range of gymnastic programs.
