THE Wollongong Easter show was held for three days from Thursday last week with organisers labelling the event a huge success.
The show which until the weekend, had not taken place in over ten years, proved to be a hit with more then 3000 people flocking into Crown Street Mall, Wollongong each day to be part of the action.
Attractions, which helped make the three days so successful, included a number of free rides, farm-animals and heaps of different entertainers from belly dancers to bands.
Beautiful weather worked as an advantage in creating such a successful three days. Each day all the surrounding car parks were full by 11am.
Kate Knowles of Crown Street Mall said, "It was like it was Christmas again,"
"There were so many prams and young children around."
Crown Street Mall was given tonnes of positive feedback.
Staff of Crown Street Mall, are currently researching to see if it would be practical to hold the show next year with many hoping it would be possible.
Stores are being surveyed to see if the day was a benefit to them and how they would feel of another Wollongong Easter Show next year.
