Dapto has once again shown they are the team to beat after another great effort last weekend when they thrashed Corrimal in their one-day clash.
Unfortunately the round was ruined by lop-sided performances, with the Canaries huge win over Corrimal just one of them.
Batting first, Dapto amassed 9-204 off their allotted overs, with former Corrimal batsman Mick Stephenson top-scoring with 65 and was well supported by Steve Davies (39) and Aaron Hickson, Dale Scifleet and Greg Wray who all chipped in with handy 20s.
Ryan Hunter took 3-40 for Corrimal, with only Dean Merola with 25 offering any resistance as the Cougars were bundled out for just 66. Tommi Bozinovski (3-20) and Wray (3-15) were the chief destroyers for Dapto.
Wests Illawarra caused the biggest upset when they downed University.
Wests posted 187, with Andrew Tougher (82) leading the way, while Kurt Miller and Richard Sykes bagged three wickets apiece for Uni, but when it came their turn to bat, they had a steady start and at one stage were 2-76 before crashing to be all out for 132.
Port Kembla’s one-day woes continued when they went down by nine wickets to Wollongong at home.
Port only managed 108, which wasn’t nearly enough when Andrew Pickard (78 not out) took over and the Gong cruised home for the loss of just one wicket.
In other games Balgownie, who only managed 143, were still far too good for Helensburgh.
Chris Sheppard (50) and James Flemming (28) were pick of the Bally batting, while Matt Treuberg finished with 4-26 for the Burgh.
The run chase never really got any momentum for Helensburgh and they were bundled out for just 93 in 36.1 overs.
Keira’’s quest to make the one-day semis is still on target after they proved far too good for Northern Districts at Hollymount Park.
The Butchers were never in the hunt after they were bowled out for just 91, with spinner Jonathan Cook taking 4-12.
Keira were soon in their own trouble at 4-25, but an unbeaten 22 from James Goddard and 31 from wicket-keeper Alex Lebsanft eventually saw them home by five wickets.

Great effort Dapto, but not supplying drinks on a stinking hot day for the cougars contributed to the lop sided affair, its the 2nd year straight by dapto we have not been supplied drinks, though it hasn't happend elsewhere by another club before..
