AS a result of Corrimal easily putting away Dapto in round 6 of the Illawarra oneday cricket competition, the Cougars now share the lead on 16 points with Keira.

Dapto compiled 167, which was easy meat for Corrimal who lost just the two wickets in overhauling that total. Skipper Graeme Batty led the way with an

unbeaten 73.

Northern Districts recorded a muchneeded win over cellardwellers Port Kembla. The Butchers managed a respectable 8/240, with Brett Murphy top scorer with 79. They then dismissed Port for 131, Lee Clouten taking 4/29.

Balgownie also were convincing winners over Wollongong. The Magpies compiled 9/202, which was too good for the Gong's 123. Paul Lynam's 58 with the willow and Josh Faulks 3/22 with the ball were the standouts.

Helensburgh's good recent form ended when outplayed by University. The students scored 200, and the Burgh replied with 126.

In the other game, Keira downed Wests.
