CORRIMAL Netball Club will name its clubperson of the year trophy the Daphne Brindle trophy in honour of life member and stalwart Daphne Brindle.
Daphne was one of the original ladies to form Corrimal Netball Club nearly 40 years ago.
A clubperson of the year award is presented to a member from both the senior and junior clubs at their respective annual presentations.
The junior clubperson of the year has gone to Kate Tomczynski.
Kate has been a great supporter of Corrimal Netball Club since becoming a member six years ago.
She began umpiring at 14 at a junior level for two years, gaining her red award as well as a merit award in her final year.
Kate then on to intermediate and senior umpiring in 2006 and has been available almost every Saturday since, usually with a smile.
In 2006 and again in 2007 Kate took on the responsibility of organising Fun Net, a skills program for 3 to 7 year-olds for 10 weeks.
Kate is always willing to help out and is a valuable member of Corrimal Netball Club.
