AS CHRISTMAS nears, the Woonona and Bulli Football Clubs have shown the spirit of giving by making a donation to Bulli Hospital.
More than $1000 worth of equipment was donated recently from the proceeds of the annual Charity Shield fixture played by the two clubs.
It was contested by all three grades (seniors, reserves and youths) with Bulli maintaining their stranglehold on the trophy.
Funds were raised by a gold coin donation at the gate and from the proceeds of a raffle.
Bulli Football Club football director Kevin Love said both clubs were happy to make a donation to the hospital.
“It’s not about the result, it’s about raising money for the hospital,” he said.
