BALGOWNIE U12 A soccer team has continued their phenomenal season by taking out the Illawarra grand final in a thrilling match against Warilla.

In front of a huge crowd, the minor premiers opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a goal from Michael Stojcevski and then hung on grimly until three minutes from the finish when Warilla equalised.

The game went into extra time and it wasn't long before Warilla took the lead and looked destined for the title. But Bally had other ideas and hit back when Nick Allen scored with time running out to take the game into a penalty shootout.

Balgownie won the game three penalties to two to continue a magnificent season undefeated. Besides the minor premiership and grand final trophies, the lads also won the popular Gala Day event, have taken out rounds 1 and 2 of the NSW Club Champion of Champions and last night they played a team from New Zealand at Judy Masters Oval, Balgownie.
